About Ndemaleckah Foundation
Ndemaleckah Foundation is a Ghanaian nonprofit based in Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region. We work with communities in northern Ghana to improve opportunities for girls, young women, women and children, especially where poverty, interrupted education and unequal access to support limit their choices.
Rooted in northern Ghana
Practical skills, wellbeing and opportunity
The Foundation was founded by Ayariga Gloria Ndepoka, a gender activist and advocate from northern Ghana. Her concern for girls who leave school and for young women facing the responsibilities of early motherhood and marriage helped shape the Foundation’s focus on practical skills, wellbeing and opportunity.
Our work brings together vocational learning, education and community awareness. We also recognise the place of culture and community participation in building local confidence and creating opportunities. TeMWEP is one of our main initiatives for developing livelihood opportunities for young women.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Ayariga Gloria Ndepoka leads the Foundation’s work and coordinates the TeMWEP initiative. Her approach brings community volunteers and technical support together around the needs of girls, young women, women and children in northern Ghana.
LeadershipDelivery
A small organisation with a community-led approach
The Chief Executive Officer coordinates the project directly. Community volunteers support engagement and implementation so that local people can take ownership of the work. A consultant provides technical support for monitoring and evaluation. We use this structure to keep the programme close to community priorities while drawing on specialist support when needed.
We welcome partnerships that strengthen practical instruction, equipment use, mentoring, learning and programme implementation.
